ISKON — Place to Relax
Actually, it was not planned. We have a plan to go to the bethuradahari sanctuary in Krishna Nagar.
Actually, the plan was not working from the begging. We had to wake up in the 4 am to catch the train at 5.30. But woke in 5.30 so... We were late.
It takes almost 3–4 hour to reach there that why I choose the early morning. But I have a feeling that nothing is going to happen right.
We arrived at 9.30 am. Then catch an auto rickshaw to bethuadahari bus stand and have some breakfast. Then take the bus, it takes almost 20–25 mins to reach bethuadahari.
As we arrived we saw the notice board mentioning this ”BETHUADAHARI CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY”. It was frustrating. I tried to request the guard to open. HUH! But rules are rules..
Luckily, we were 1hr far from Mayapur(ISKCON). So decide to not to waste the day. So, let’s go to the Mayapur. The traffic police helped us to get a bus to the Iskon.
IT WAS BIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can not describe, how much big the area is. You have to take toto(small version of auto) to travel the whole place.
Special thing is that Asia's biggest temple is going to open in 2022. So waiting for that. Else that You can now just see how it looks from outside.
If you want to stay here, from Indian 100 rs to 4000 rs room is available here.
So as we entered, make sure to have a beautiful meal. You can have a various package of a meal, like 30–50–70–100. We had decided to to take 70 rs thali. Menu —
- Fried rice (one big spoon)
- Beguni(brinjal)
- White rice
- Dal(pulses)
- Vegetables
- Panner vegetables
- Chutney
- Milk rice pudding
Then we go to the place called gaushala. Where they have all cows and two biiiggg ones.
There is a lot more than I can tell you. Like the temple of Prabhupada who was the establisher of ISKON. You must watch this.
There is many prayers hall, where you can sit and hear the peaceful “HARI NAAM”. But I didn't do that. I was walking around the place because I love it.
Just because it was not planned, we went through the other way. So now i am going to tell you the right way to go there.
You can get toto at the gate of ISKON to go to the Mayapur ghat, and take ferry/boat to go to Krishna Nagar ghat. Then Take auto rikshaw to Krishna nagar station. Though we were tired, we were enjoying the journey. Because so much green never gets tired. Fresh air, oxygen makes you energetic.
My mother asks me to bring sorpuri and sorvaja. It is the special food of Krishna nager... But we forget.. Sorry!!
Then catch the train and back to the home.. UHH!!
Pardon my English..
